Opportunities are many - the choice is yours. And then the public buses on Ærø are quite free so you can easily get around the whole island.
Kleven and the surrounding waters are particularly suitable for kayaks. Take a walk along Klevens very beautiful coastline in closed and calm waters.
Kleven harbor does not invite bathing, but Ommel has its own small fine sandy beach facing the Baltic Sea. In addition, Ommeshoved is a favorite seaside resort.
LARGE GARDEN WITH OUTDOOR KITCHEN
Ærøgården has 2 hectares of land directly down to the water and Kleven Harbor. The Fruit garden consists of a large lawn with flower, apple and pear trees, a large terrace, hammocks and a trampoline. The garden invites for play and relaxation. This is where you hang out.
We have set up a outdoor kitchen for free use.
CYCLE AND HIKING
There is much to see at Ærø, many small roads and landscaped cycle paths.
A trip to Marstal, three kilometers from Ommel, is a must. Visit the Maritime Museum, which is for children and adults alike.
Embark on the newly built schooner `Buena Vista 'and feel the history of the wings of the world since Marstal was the sailors' capital.
We fish for something to eat and we fish with yarn that is set in the evening and picked up early the next morning.
You can also take a spinning or fly rod and try out some of the finest trout water in Denmark. We know a few spots that might throw a trout off.
Mapped hiking trails on the island are part of the 'Ocean path'. Get away from the highway and quite close to nature.
If you are not for cycling and hiking, the bus from Marstal above Ærøskøbing to Søby is free.
There is also a free bus service from Ommel to Marstal on Tuesdays and Fridays. In addition, on weekdays you can drive free with the bus.
